Space Borne is the first-ever, co-op or semi-cooperative dexterity game, where players are racing against time to save the Space Borne galaxy from an impending black hole!
In this game, you are a brave member of the Freedom Flickers, an elite team of skilled astronauts on a mission to save the Space Borne galaxy from an impending black hole.
To do so, you must scour the galaxy in search of four rare crystals.
These crystals power an alien technology called the Black Hole Limiter, which prevents the black hole at the center of the galaxy from expanding. However, the current crystals are depleted and need replacement.
To win, players must work together to find these rare crystals and deliver them to the Secret Satellite, housing the Black Hole Limiter, and reactivating it before the black hole engulfs the galaxy.

Space Borne is a dextarity game that mixes elements of Pandemic into it and creates a wholey new game that is played in real time. I am not usually a fan of dexterity games however I did enjoy the other dexterity game from Meeple Mania Games, Tabletop Golf Association
More Depth
Space Borne has a lot more depth to it however. I Enjoyed the pressure from the timers epecially on the battle board. It gave me a real sense of being in the action. I also loved the pressure on the players as the board started to disapear from the inside out.
Player Aids
The way the space pirates functioned really reminded me of Pandemic but not in a bad way. The game plays faster the more familiar you are with how each tile interacts. There might be slightly too many different tiles to keep track of but there is a player aid that helps.
Conclusion
All in all this is probablly the first time I am saying this... this is a fun mid-weight dexterity game. There is also an expansion that is coming out that adds aliens with new tiles and cards to add into the base game.

Meet the Freedom Flickers
Each player will take the role of one of the elite Freedom Flickers.
Individually they are talented, but together there's nothing they can't accomplish By focusing on what they do best, this team is focused on finding the rare crystals and bringing them to the BHL to shut down the Black Hole and save the Space Borne Galaxy.
However, players are also simultaneously trying to expand their empires and become the new ruler of the galaxy. It's a difficult task, but the one who manages this the best, and has the most flags planted at the end of the game, will be the new ruler of the galaxy, and pass laws that will benefit them in future games.
New full co-op version just added!
Full Co-op Version
For those of you who don't enjoy the potential confrontations of a semi-coop game, we've added a full co-op version to the rulebook.
Based on the great feedback we've received through playtesting at game-cons, this new version creates even more camaraderie and raises the stakes each time you play.
Now instead of planting flags and an action, you earn your flags based on achieving certain goals, like recon missions, destroying space pirates and of course, delivering the rare crystals to the secret satellite.
